The damaged clear panels in the tubular youth shelter have been removed and replaced with metal half-panels. Metal half-panels were chosen as they are more difficult to vandalise, keep the frame sturdy and because they are only half the size of the panel space, permit visibility. They are also significantly cheaper than the polycarbonate alternative.
